Why do many adults need orthodontics?

According to AAO adults now comprise at least 25% percent of orthodontic patients. They choose orthodontics as part of full restoration treatment of their teeth, to make cosmetic enhancements, or to retreat orthodontic relapse from earlier treatment.

We’ve found that adults patients commonly put everyone else’s needs before their own. Making sure that their kids and spouse get the treatment they need, but not putting themselves on the to-do list.

What types of orthodontics are available for adults?

Our adult patients want the best results, in the shortest amount of time and with the lowest level of discomfort or inconvenience. We offer two types of adult orthodontic treatment and one will fit your needs.

Invisalign®

This treatment involves using a series of aligner trays that gradually move the teeth into the optimum position. They are made of a clear, special plastic that is comfortable to wear, is less noticeable than metal braces, and can be removed to eat and brush. Many adults find that Invisalign® works well with their busy and complicated lifestyles.

Traditional Braces

Invisalign® is not the best option for some dental conditions. Traditional braces are the best choice when there is a need to correct bite misalignment problems along with straightening the teeth.

Advances in traditional orthodontics now offer options that are more discreet and comfortable to wear and we are able to drastically reduce the amount of time and cost needed for orthodontic care!
